Mirror Frame Decoration

Hellosss... :)

I so love coming Back [Just need to be a bit regular though ;)]

Anyways today I am going to share our work of decorating our Mirror which we named Mirror frame.. :)

And these days it has become the most attractive thing in our Room...!!!

So to make this we decided to use the cone design & some squares..

Making the cones of same shape was a difficult task and we could not do it.. :( Still tried hard for it...
Then we made some squares and stick both of them on the handmade paper strips that we cut earlier according to the size of our mirror.

Stuck the the completed dried strips on the wall framing the mirror...

And Viola....!!! Our mirror Looks amazing... :)

2 Handmade frames for 2 Birthdays

Hi Again...

This is my second blog and that too so late after the first one..
Told you I am Lazy.. ;)

Anyways this time me & Teju made Frames from handmade paper.. :D Actually Teju made it... & i just helped her... We were inspired to do it after seeing Inna's how to on making paper frame

http://increations.blogspot.in/2009/06/how-to-make-simple-paper-frame.html.

So first of all Thank you Inna http://increations.blogspot.in for that lovely tutorial on the frame.

It was Teju's Dad's Birthday for which she made a frame with "World's Best Dad" written on it with monogram quilling and a picture of him.

Making the frame took most of the time as the handmade paper we used was not behaving as we expected... It was not sticking properly at the corners so we had to hold it from both the sides..
After that she stuck on it printed words and her Dad's Pic.

Bordered the words and using the crimper decorated the photo as well.
After a lot of thought she decided to use regular coiling technique for filling up the words...

Added a flower to the sides and woohoo....!!! It was done...

She let it dry and then wrapped it with clear wrapping cellophane paper which will protect it from dust etc.
So it looks like this on completion... :) Her Dad liked it...!! We are Happy :D :D

The other frame was made for Teju's cute niece Kaavya, here are the pictures of the making... ;)

Teju made the collage of Kaavya's pictures and got it printed,

Then she made this frame... and handed it over to me for completing.
As there was not much space remaining on the frame after pasting the picture I was confused as in what to do in so less space.

Finally I made 4 flowers on the corners... but it was still looking empty... :(

I racked my brains and finally made these green petals/leaves...
Wrapped it again with the cellophane paper...

Hope you'll like them... :))

Once again huge thanks Inna for the inspiration...!!!

How I met Quilling.... :)

Hey Guys,
This is my First ever blog post... And i am sure i will continue with it... :)
Well let me introduce myself Tanushri & my friend Tejaswini who is the driving force behind all this quiiling that both of us have been doing ( As i m very lazy ;)
So she was pestering me for writing the blog since long but I have been ignoring her... But i think i should start now... Finally ;)

Let me tell you all how we stumbled upon this... Almost 2 years ago while shopping for stationary we found a quilling kit & bought it on impulse, came back home & made some photo frames from it... And we fell in Love with Quilling Instantly...!

Here are my first frames... my first quillling project... :)

And here are Tejaswini's Frames:

Then we made a beautiful scrapbook for Teju's Sister...

Here are a few pictures of it...
At that time we had no idea that we can get ideas from internet...So we scratched our heads and did everything on our own...Using the basic shapes...

And it turned out really Beautiful...!!!

By the end of this project we were Very Exhausted... Plus both of us got somewhat busy in our Jobs so we took a break from Quilling...

Tejaswini did few projects in between but I was so out of everything...
But then I happened to Stumble upon the Quilling again through internet and saw the whole world doing it...!!!
We were so inspired by all the things that we saw that we again started it...!!!
And so here we are....!!

Hope You all like my first attempt at blogging....!!!
Please comment and inspire us more.... :D
